SheMi Terms of Service

SheMi is a privacy camera tool whose photos are never uploaded to servers. By using SheMi you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Service description
SheMi ("the app") is a fully on-device privacy camera tool. All data is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to any server. The app provides:
- Private photo and video capture, stored directly in the app's private sandbox
- App lock with passcode and biometrics
- Private album browsing and management (groups, search, import/export)
- Automatic EXIF removal (GPS, device model, capture parameters)
- Decoy album (a second passcode opens a separate space)
- Screen-recording cover (whole-app mask while system recording is active)
The app does not provide cloud storage, online backup, or social sharing. Only when you actively export to your computer does a local transfer happen over the same Wi-Fi LAN.
2. Software license
SheMi uses a one-time purchase license:
- Trial: new users get a 30-day full-feature free trial with all features unlocked
- Unlock: after the trial, a one-time payment of ¥39 unlocks lifetime use
- Scope: one purchase is tied to your App Store account and can be restored across devices in the same ecosystem
- Updates: feature updates are provided while the app remains available
You may not reverse-engineer, modify, redistribute, or use SheMi for illegal purposes.
3. User responsibilities
You understand and accept the following responsibilities:
- Passcode custody: your unlock passcode is set and kept by you. Because it exists only on your device and we cannot access it, we cannot offer passcode recovery. Forgetting the passcode without a recovery key will make your data permanently inaccessible
- Backups: we strongly recommend regularly exporting important photos/videos to the system album or your computer to protect against device loss or damage
- Uninstall warning: uninstalling the app permanently deletes all private files; export and back up before uninstalling
- Lawful use: you agree not to use SheMi for any illegal purpose, including capturing or storing illegal content
- Device security: SheMi's protection depends on your device's security. Rooted/jailbroken or malware-infected devices put your private data at risk
4. Intellectual property
All code, designs, icons, names, and related intellectual property of the app belong to Guangzhou Ruishi Information Technology Co., Ltd. These terms grant you no ownership of any intellectual property. You may not reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute the app without written permission.
5. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The app is provided "as is", without any express or implied warranty
- We are not liable for data loss caused by device loss or damage, forgotten passcode, system failure, or third-party malware
- We are not liable for data leaks caused by sandbox failure (e.g. iOS vulnerabilities) or device jailbreak
- Pro purchases are handled by the App Store; refunds follow the store's policies and we cannot process refunds directly
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced with app updates, and the updated terms will be published in the app. Continued use of SheMi means you accept the revised terms.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Disputes arising from these terms shall first be settled through friendly negotiation; failing that, they shall be submitted to the competent people's court where the developer is located.
